Zahra locks on to Julie’s neck briefly and they kneel in unison, knowing that they would waste too much time standing, being near equal in their top-work. Julie loses her balance but then purposefully falls back to lift Zahra and clamp down on her. Zahra is able to push Julie away and even though Julie sits down on her to trap her she is able to escape that as well. Zahra rolling to avoid Julie’s scissors the two flip over, Julie still working on capturing Zahra in a body scissor and controlling her hands they soon find themselves rolling off the mats. They take a break to re-position themselves onto the fighting ground. Back into it Julie works her defense only. Zahra is noticeably stressed over this. Julie gets Zahra in a headlock and lays on the pressure. She begins her offence, but both are pushing back against each other hard. Zahra gets Julie in a headlock as well, rolling forward into Julie’s scissoring. Zahra takes it only briefly and then expertly drives her elbows into Julie’s thighs who yells, gasps, and has to break the hold. Leg locks are exchanged and they both push back harder than ever before to escape each other …
