Worm Eludes Early Bird

Petra vs. Teresa, aka Li'l Cheetah -- 10 two-minute rounds of boxing

The 5-2, 145 lb. green-eyed brunette Teresa was glad she'd be fighting Petra
in a boxing match since she was a former street fighter and, given her choice
of competitive styles, preferred boxing since she would be able to use her
punching abilities she had acquired in the streets of Hazel Park. She also knew
that the 5-5, 130 lb. brunette Petra had had only a few fights
and probably wasn't experienced in streetfighting or boxing.

But the 10 rounds really worried the cute little woman from Michigan. "I
can't go 10 rounds!" admitted Teresa to her boyfriend before the fight. "I'll be
lucky to go three! I'm way outof shape because I smoke too much and I have no
stamina! There's no way I can go 10 rounds!" 

Her boyfriend answered, "Well, just make sure the fight doesn't go 10 rounds
and knock her out early! Besides, I don't think Petra can go 10 rounds
either!" Teresa responded, "Well, I've seen her. She's built pretty solid and
I think she can go longer than I can, that's for sure!" Her boyfriend then
said, "Well, like I said, just make sure you knock her out early!"

Teresa knew she would have to go all out early in the fight and hope to gain
a quick KO if she had any hopes of winning. If Petra survived the first three
or four rounds, then she would probably be able to wear down the smaller Hazel
Park resident and ultimately win the fight over a fatiqued Teresa. Thus,
Teresa
knew she had to attack Petra from the opening bell and keep on her until she
finishes her!

Teresa arrived for her big fight, got in the ring as the audience cheered and
sat in her corner with her boxing gloves on with her boyfriend in her corner.
She
stared across the ring at Petra, who looked in a little better shape and
taller than Teresa. Teresa sighed, realizing that Petra was going to be a
tough customer.

The two were then called out to center ring for
introductions and final instructions. During the instructions, Teresa stared
menacingly at Petra, trying to intimidate her, but Petra just glared
back at her.

Teresa turned and walked back to her corner and told her boyfriend as he
finished rubbing her down, "She's gonna be tough!" Her boyfriend responded, "Just
do what we said you would do. As soon as that bell rings,
go after her!"

"Ding ding!" Round One!

The bell rang and Teresa came at Petra like a shot, throwing lefts and rights
at the face of Petra, exciting the crowd! Petra, who had only been in a few
fights, suddenly found herself confronted by a much more experienced fighter
than she realized! Petra covered up and slowly retreated a few steps due to the
early onslaught delivered by Teresa!

Teresa's boyfriend screamed, "You got her on the run, Teresa! Keep it up!"
Teresa, excited, saw Petra was having a hard time kept pumping in hard lefts and

rights to the face, head, eyes, nose and mouth of Petra! Petra tried to fend
off Teresa, but Teresa just kept pumping her arms and throwing hard punches so
quickly at Petra that it seemed as though Teresa had three or four arms!

Some of those punches by Teresa were not landing or hit harmlessly on Petra's
shoulders, but the amount of
blows aimed at Petra's face was enough to cause Petra to take a desperate
defensive posture, covering up to protect her face!

Suddenly, Teresa hit Petra to the side of the head with a great right cross!
This stunned Petra and rocked her! Teresa then caught Petra with a followup
straight left to the eye and Petra had to cover up even more in an effort to
outlast Teresa's early assault!

Petra was backing up closer to the ropes when Teresa launched a hard right
with the full force of her back behind it! The punch thumped hard into Petra's st
ernum!

Teresa aimed for the sternum in most of her previous street fights early,
hoping to debilitate her
opponent and choosing that part of the body rather than the head since she
learned by experience that she could hurt her fist more than her opponent if she
hit her in the head.

They were wearing gloves now, but Teresa knew that even with gloves, a punch
to the head could break her hand. Plus, Teresa knew by experience that a hard
punch to the sternum area could hurt a woman very badly.

So Teresa threw a huge punch to Petra's sternum. And that punch caught Petra
completely off guard, driving the air from her body! Petra reeled back into
the ropes and groaned in pain!

Teresa got even more excited, seeing Petra hurt, and quickly looked to follow
up in hopes of knocking Petra out in the first round! Teresa came in and got
in another hard right to the sternum before the ref ordered Teresa back to her
corner -- and began an eight count on Petra!

Teresa's boyfriend lept in the air and the crowd cheered loudly as a smiling
Teresa came back to
the corner, pleased with her work! "Knockdown! That's a knockdown!" her
excited boyfriend screamed! Teresa's boyfriend grabbed her and then turned her
around to face Petra and rubbed her shoulders, excitedly
screaming, "You got her! As soon as the ref waves you back in, go in there
and finish her off!"

As the ref counted, Petra was gasping in air. She looked a bit frightened,
nervous, worried and concerned about what happened to her but she
had caught her breath by six and, when the ref asked her if she was OK, Petra
nodded affirmatively!

The ref waved Teresa in, and Teresa literally flew at her opponent, running
at her and was just whaling away on her until, this time, Petra fell to her
rear end near the ropes to the crowd's delight!

Teresa's boyfriend lept into the air as Teresa again returned to the corner!
Teresa's boyfriend shouted, "You may have finished her! Watch!"

However, Petra quickly got up at two and was obviously clear as a bell. She
looked at the ref with clear eyes and nodded she was ready to continue the
fight. The ref hit eight, checked Petra again, then asked
Teresa to come back and continue!

Teresa's boyfriend yelled, "Go get her, Teresa! Finish her!" Teresa flew once
again at Petra. There was still a full minute left in the fight and Teresa
continued to batter Petra with hard punches, but Petra
covered up and held on well enough to finish the round. The bell sounded and
Teresa came back to the corner, a bit perturbed that she didn't finish Petra
off.

Teresa's face was dripping with sweat. Teresa's boyfriend reached out and
grabbed his girlfriend and sat her on the corner stool. Teresa was breathing
heavily. Her boyfriend yelled as loud as he could, "That was a 10-7 round! 10-7!"
in an attempt to
influence the judges to give Teresa full credit for the two knockdowns.
Teresa looked up at him, still breathing heavily, and said, "What's a
10-7 round?"

Her boyfriend responded, "Don't worry about that. It just means you cleaned
her clock! But now concentrate on taking her out this round! Look at her!"

Petra's corner was busily working on her. Petra looked somewhat surprised and
a little concerned. But she
also looked clear-minded -- and this worried Teresa's boyfriend.

Teresa also saw Petra looking OK and said, "She doesn't look too bad to me."
Her boyfriend then said, "Just go out there like you did before!
One more knockdown and they'll call it!"

"Ding ding!" Round Two!

The bell sounded and Teresa raced out of her corner! But this time Petra was
waiting for Teresa! She quickly covered up and Teresa's punches began to
harmlessly bounce off her arms and gloves! Teresa kept coming with a bevy of
punches for the next 30 seconds, but Petra held her ground!

Suddenly, Teresa got tired after throwing so many punches and backed off! Her
boyfriend yelled, "No,
Teresa! Keep after her!" Petra suddenly moved forward and hit Teresa in the
corner of the
left eye with a hard right cross! Teresa cried out "Oh!" and covered up as
she moved out of the way, but quickly frowned and then angrily used the pain she
felt from Petra's punch to find a burst of adrenaline and continued to throw
a slew of punches at Petra, angry that Petra had hurt her! Petra backed off
and covered up, beginning to give up ground again! 

But again, Teresa could only go on like this for 30 seconds and once again
backed off as she was becoming more and more tired! Then Petra slowly began to
turn the tables on the Cheetah and began to stalk the tiring, retreating
Teresa! She suddenly banged her on the temple with a hard right hand! "Ohh!"
squealed a hurt Teresa, closing her pretty eyes momentarily as she stumbled backward!
But before Petra could follow up, Teresa out of desperation, fear and anger
came back with a flurry of punches, once again using that surge of adrenaline
stemming from the pain of getting punched once again!

Now most of Teresa's punches were missing the mark, but the sheer volume of
blows and Teresa's aggressiveness were enough to keep Petra off guard and force
her to give ground once again. But this
time, Teresa could only keep up the constant punching for 15 seconds before
she had to back off again!

This time, Petra came quickly after Teresa and worked on her soft, pudgy
little body, digging in a hard right hand! Teresa was hurt! She groaned and bent
over, then straightened -- just in time to receive
a hard right cross to her left cheek!

Teresa reeled back into the ropes and looked panicky and scared as Petra
moved in on her, but the bell sounded before Petra could get at Teresa and saved
the Hazel Park Princess! 

Teresa came back to the corner and flopped on the stool, gasping for air as
her face was as red as a beet! She then went limp and closed her eyes as her
boyfriend rubbed her down, trying to put new life into her! Teresa gasped, "I'm
pooped! There's no more gas left in the tank!"

Teresa was really sucking wind now, and Teresa's boyfriend was worried!
Things weren't going the way he and his girlfriend and planned, that's for sure!
Even though Petra had taken a beating in the first round from Teresa and was on
the defense for most of the
second round, the early KO had escaped Teresa's grasp and now what both
Teresa and he had been concerned about was beginning to occur! Petra was beginning
to come out of her shell and hurt his girlfriend as Teresa's punches became
less and less frequent and her stamina slowly leaked away! Petra was in much
better shape than his girl now, and with Teresa tiring at a quick rate, things
were not going the way he had hoped! 

He thought for sure that Teresa had won the round 10-9, which gave her a
four-point advantage. But he also thought he was sending Teresa back into a fight
where she was bound to receive an even bigger beating as the bout progressed!

Teresa's boyfriend continued to rub Teresa's shoulders and give her water as
she stared at the much more solid Petra, who was now glaring back at her.
Teresa's boyfriend then whispered, "I know you're getting tired. Please! Try to
finish her off this round!" Teresa nodded and the bell sounded!

"Ding Ding!" Round Three!

Teresa now was much slower getting off her stool than she was in the first
two rounds and had by now lost the surprise element anyway. She didn't get to
Petra
nearly as quickly as she did in the first two rounds and instead found
herself immediately enmeshed in a give-and-take brawl at center ring that Petra was
beginning to win by landing some hard blows to Teresa's chin -- a chin that
was cute and perky when it came to the opposite sex but turned into a minus for
her as Petra saw it as potentially fragile!

Teresa was trying to counter with some blows to Petra's sternum area and to
her face, but it was Teresa who was now beginning to back up as
Petra began to stay even with Teresa in the number of blows exchanged -- and
then began to throw more!

This turn of events really alarmed Teresa's boyfriend as he could see where
it was leading. He screamed
encouragement to Teresa as she slowly backed off, receiving a hard right to
the mouth that actually split her lip and a punch to the nose that caused her
to cry out in pain and gave her a bloody nose!

But those two blows again brought a newfound anger and determination to
Teresa, who threw caution to the wind and countered with repeated blows to the side
of the head! Teresa now was going absolutely crazy out
there, throwing punches like a madwoman after having been hurt and bloodied!

She had told her boyfriend many times about what had happened to her in one
of her fights when she was hurt. She said she had "blacked out" and "gone
crazy" on one girl and by the time she came to, she had reduced the other
girl to tears as she was literally begging for mercy! Now she was in that same
mode!

Teresa's boyfriend knew his girl was tired, but he hoped the pain and anger
at having blood drawn would really set Teresa off! Teresa was sending in punch
after punch into the face and head of Petra, one
after another, and at times landing a punch to the sternum!

But Teresa could not escape the reality of her situation. She had no real
power left in her punches and her tank had run down! The few punches that did
land actually had very little effect on Petra!

Both Teresa and her boyfriend knew Teresa was out of breath. Her arms had
became heavy with fatigue and slowly began to fall lower and lower to her sides
as she desperately punched at Petra while trying to keep her hands up to defend
herself!

Unfortunately for Teresa, her fatigue led to danger in a potential inability
to defend herself from blows to the face as her dropping arms exposed her
vulnerable head and face! Plus, her punches were growing less and less effective,
meaning that the slower and softer
punches were becoming easier for Petra to duck, block and take!

Teresa, now dog tired, took a step back to get a breath of air. But Petra
wouldn't let that happen! She came in with a solid right to Cheetah's stomach!
Cheetah groaned and bent over, dropping her arms even
more! Then Petra came across with a hard right uppercut, right to Teresa's
jaw! Teresa stumbled back, seeing stars -- and then went down on her rear end! <

The ref counted the knockdown as Teresa tried to shake out the cobwebs!
Teresa got up at seven, but she was definitely hurt! She was staggering around and
looking at her boyfriend, blinking those gorgeous green
eyes of hers in an effort to regain her composure!

But when she saw Petra come after her to finish her off, a look of fear
crossed her face! Teresa then
covered up and retreated into the ropes as Petra just pummeled her with
punches to the head! Teresa was covering up well, but the heavy onslaught of blows
had her trapped in the ropes! She would block three out
of every four punches, but the ones that got into her forehead, temple, face,
nose and mouth were devastating! Teresa was too tired and frightened to fight
back!

Suddenly, Teresa could no longer take the constant battering and fell to her
knees with face down! Her size 40 DD chest was heaving up and down as she
tried to get in some air! But the count reached five and Teresa still hadn't even
looked up!

At seven, Teresa got to all fours and looked helplessly at her boyfriend with
a sad, forlorn look on her face as she finally acknowledged and resigned
herself to her embarrasing and humiliating defeat! She then ducked her head again
-- and the ref reached 10!

Petra had not only beaten the former streetfighter. She had Teresa knocked
out -- quickly, suddenly and cleanly!

Teresa's boyfriend lept out of the corner, ran into the ring, and slowly
helped his KOed, dazed and defeated little Teresa back to her stool.

She could barely keep on her feet, she was so dazed!! He then put Teresa down
and Teresa came back to the stool and collapsed -- completely out of breath!

Petra got out of her stool and walked around the ring, smiling as she raised
her right arm in victory while Teresa sadly sat in her corner with a downcast
and defeated look on her face!
