By wolfboy

No fighting in this one, but Emma gets the details through for the tournament.
So, Emma spent a few days awaiting the arrival of the details for the tournament. Even though Lady Amelia had told her she was in, Emma still wanted the official confirmation which arrived via email ten days after her win over Amelia. It read –

You have been chosen to take part in Lord Rupert Smythe’s catfight championship tournament, commencing in four weeks time from your receipt of this email.
The format of the tournament will see a 10 woman preliminary knock out round, which will be followed by a five woman round-robin competition. At the completion of the round-robin stage, the two leading competitors in the group will face each other in a winner take all final showdown for the title.

Rupert Smythe’

‘So, it’s real then’ Emma said to me, a hint of surprise in her voice even now. ‘And there is some decent prize money too. If I can reach the round robin stage, I could actually make some money out of it’
‘Gives me an idea too’ I said ‘Your mum still wants that fight with a celebrity but there’s no way we can raise the cash we need on our own. Maybe if we get Lord Smythe involved, that could happen too?’
‘Worth a go’ Emma agreed ‘look, let’s wait and see what happens first, but if I get through the first stage, maybe we should float the idea to him at least.’
‘Sounds like a plan’ I admitted ‘now, had we better take a look at the other fighters and see what we can find out?’ I asked. ‘I can tell you a bit about Naomi, Rajinder and Alex from your Mum’s fights with them. You’ve got firsthand experience of Amelia too, so let’s start with the others.’
