And then, just like with Kerstin and Erica several years ago, it will be a RETIREMENT match!” Monica stops to let the ramifications of this sink in, and then she continues, “This league just isn’t big enough for both Amy and Lauren, so one of them will be forced into a premature retirement upon losing the fight.” Monica then turns to the two of them and says, “Do you ladies agree to these terms?” Amy, with her arms folded, simply says, “You bet your ass I do” and then in turn Lauren says, “I agree to and accept these terms with every fiber of my being”. Monica then turns to the crowd and says, “So people, you wanted one more match between these two… and you GOT ONE! The tickets for the PainFest pay-per-view sell out almost instantly, and UWWL Internet sites are ablaze with speculation about the resurgence of the timeless feud. The career ending cage match between Lauren and Amy is a main event so powerful that there is no need for a world championship title defense, so Rebecca will have the night off… but you can rest assured that she will be there, looking after her teammates the way a mama bear looks after her cubs.

Fans wait for PainFest impatiently like how a small child waits for Santa Claus, but the night of the pay-per-view finally comes. After Lauren gets medical attention and showers, she is in the dressing room wincing as she puts her clothes on, and Rebecca asks, “Hey, Lauren – I know you went through Hell tonight but we’re here for you if you want to go out and celebrate your big win.” Lauren walks up to her friend and team leader, holds her left hand, and says, “Rebecca you know I love you,” and then she glances around the dressing room and says, “You know I love all of you guys, but tonight’s match wasn’t for you, or for the fans, or even for me… tonight’s match was for my HUSBAND, and all I want to do is go home and rest my aching body in his arms.” And after Lauren finishes getting dressed, she hugs each of her teammates in turn and then goes home and does just that – and despite her soreness and her Hellish pain she manages to fall asleep with a smile on her face, as Lauren finally got her revenge on Amy.
