Elaine travels to the States to take on a glamorous opponent

As part of our trip to Texas to take on Toni in a private catfight challenge, we had also managed to find a perfect match for Elaine to continue her fledgling catfight career. Elaine had a love of pro wrestling as well as catfighting and loved a pro-style catfight; her next opponent fitted the bill for that perfectly. Betty Gilpin, the actress who played the role of Liberty Belle in the GLOW TV series had taken to the private catfight scene in character and following four fairly easy wins, she was looking for some sterner competition. Given that her preferred matches were also pro style catfights, Elaine was an ideal opponent, and I was quick to get the match set up for the day before Emma would meet Toni. A gym with a pro wrestling ring available for private hire had been easy enough to find in the local area, so the match was made and Betty would travel to meet Elaine in a GLOW themed catfight match.

The rules in this match would allow for no blows to the face, no piledrivers and no eye rakes, but all other moves would be legal. There would be no time limit with two submissions required for victory, and there would be a two minute break between each fall. Action would be permitted to take place inside or outside the ring with no count outs. Elaine was looking forward to the match as she got prepared in the changing area of the gym. A fan of both the original GLOW and the TV series revival, she was quite happy to play along with the theme to take Betty on. As she changed, it was apparent that she was taking her inspiration from the original series, channelling her inner Tina Ferrari. A mauve one-piece suit with a cut out panel over the stomach teamed with glossy skin tone tights and matching mauve wrestling boots. Some silver sequins adorned the swimsuit; spectacular silver eye makeup, a liberal dusting of glitter and impressively big hair, now that Elaine had allowed hers to grow out a little, completed the look. It was quite the transformation with the once quite demure looking teacher appearing every inch the glamorous professional wrestler as she headed to the ring with me in tow. ‘Remember what we discussed’ I reminded Elaine as we waited in the corner for Betty. ‘She might be a TV star, but she’ll be here to fight just as much as you are, so don’t underestimate her or expect anything else.’

‘I’m expecting her to be a tough opponent Steve, don’t worry’ Elaine assured me as she leant against the lightly padded turnbuckles. ‘I know she wouldn’t be doing this if she wasn’t up for a fight. Besides, she’s more experienced than me as well, so I have to take her seriously.’

There was no time for much further discussion as Betty swept into the gym from her changing room. The blonde actress also presented a spectacular appearance as she had chosen to wear the Liberty Belle outfit from the finale of the first series. A white one piece decorated with silver, blue and res stars worn over glossy tights and short white wrestling boots. Betty’s hair was stacked up high on her head, a hairstyle I expected Elaine to amend quite soon in the match. The blonde actress had her makeup done professionally it seemed too as she perfectly reprised the Liberty Bell role albeit in a different scenario.

As she slipped through the ropes, seconded by a lucky member of staff from the gym, the referee was quick to call the events to order. ‘OK ladies’ she began ‘you’re both here for a two out of three falls catfight. There should be no blows to the head, eye rakes or piledrivers. All other moves are legal. On my left from England is Elaine Smith. She is 43 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150lbs and measures 36F-28-40 with a record of 1 win and 1 defeat. On my right, is Betty Gilpin. She is 31 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 142lbs and measures 34DD-26-37 with a record of 4 wins without defeat’ Both women continued to stretch in their corners, cautiously eyeing each other as the referee finished off ‘ladies, wait for the bell and then come out fighting.’ The referee slipped through the ropes for a moment, ringing the bell before she slid back into the ring as the two combatants started to circle each other slowly, feeling each other out through the first moments, some light slaps to the body the total of the early action before Betty grabbed the hair, using it to pull Elaine into a side headlock. Elaine backed Betty into the ropes, looking to send her into the opposite set of ring ropes. The American actress held on to the hold though, using a handful of hair to prevent Elaine from freeing herself before she dragged her down to the mat. Up close to the ropes, Elaine grabbed for Betty’s hair as well, looking to force her head back, but the actress held firm, cranking on the headlock before bringing Elaine back to her feet. Now she rolled Elaine over her hip, dropping her to the mat as she GLOW star dominated the early moments of the action. Reaching down for a double handful of hair, Betty pulled Elaine half up before delivering a knee to the belly that dropped Elaine back to her knees and in a spot of early trouble as she blonde actress continued her attack. Elaine had very little time to recover too as Betty used the hair again to lift her to her feet before throwing her across the ring roughly.

Elaine skidded to a halt against the ropes once more, getting to a knee before Betty secured a front headlock. Falling back with a foot planted in Elaine’s stomach, a monkey flip sent her to the mat. So far, the match had been all wrestling and all Betty, and as she helped Elaine to her feet by the hair before delivering another hip throw to put Elaine down once more, the American cut an imperious figure in the ring. Indeed, Betty strutted over to Elaine, going back to the hair to pick up and throw the battling school teacher into the corner post. There, Betty used her sexy long legs to the best use, stretching one up to place her boot against Elaine’s throat as she held on to the top rope for leverage. Elaine quickly shook off the effects of the boot choke too, grabbing a handful of Betty’s neatly arranged long blonde hair to roughly pull her into a side headlock. Betty squirmed, quick to get off her back and on to her side as she watchfully avoided getting trapped in a smother. Another crank of the headlock saw Betty let out a little moan of pain, but then, placing a hand on Elaine’s backside, she skilfully rolled her into what would have been a pinning position had pins been relevant in the match.

It did put the actress in a position to escape though, able to punish Elaine with an elbow to the stomach before she went to the hair, points of both elbows dug into Elaine’s F cup breasts as she pulled her head forward by the hair. There was a look of pain on Elaine’s face as Betty ragged her head around before pulling her to her feet and in one graceful move, she again monkey flipped Elaine to the mat. Betty climbed to the middle rope now, waiting patiently as Elaine rose, back to the corner, only to be knocked down again as Betty delivered a flying double fisted blow across the shoulders. Face down on the mat, Elaine felt Betty grab her hair with both hands as she dragged her, forcing her to crawl to the ropes where Betty draped her throat across the middle rope. The fighting school teacher saw it coming though and moved at the last moment allowing Betty to catch herself on the middle rope instead before she fell through them and to the well-padded floor. The two women locked up quickly this time, not so cautious having both felt the other out in the first fall. Hands plunged deep in the each other’s blonde locks, both looked to push the other back. Elaine was perhaps the more powerful of the two, but Betty used her long limbs expertly to frustrate her into a stalemate as both women eventually broke off, again circling each other briefly. As they came together this time, Betty raised her hands, challenging Elaine to a finger lock test of strength. Elaine took the challenge head on, locking her fingers with Betty as she looked to impose her power on the American only to be surprised as the toe of Betty’s white wrestling boot caught her right in the pit of the stomach. Dropped to her knees, Elaine was immediately in pain as Betty bore down on her now, bending her hands back while the cut-out section of Elaine’s stomach across her stomach acted as a target for Betty’s kicks. As the third kick landed in quick succession, Betty released the finger lock now, pushing Elaine to the mat with a shove to the chest. Round two had been all Betty so far and she continued that as she encouraged Elaine to her feet by the hair before repaying her for the earlier atomic drop with one of her own. Betty followed in quickly but as she went to Elaine’s hair, looking to pull her to her feet, the fighting school teacher was waiting on her with a cruel uppercut to the crotch that sent Betty crumbling to the mat. ‘Now’ the fighting school teacher asked Betty in a voice not that different to the one she used to chastise a naughty pupil, ‘do you submit?’

‘No, no’ came the strained but determined reply from Betty.

‘Really? Are you sure?’ Elaine chided her, switching her grip to once hand in Betty’s hair to maintain the pressure before reaching around to deliver a breast punch. Following that with a breast maul caused Betty to shriek out in pain as Elaine asked her again, ‘do you submit?’

This time there was not defiant reply from Betty and as Elaine added a painful twist of her breast, then Betty finally cried out her submission ‘yes, yes, I give!’

Elaine released the hold, helping Betty back to her feet as they both hugged in the centre of the ring. ‘Good job’ Betty told Elaine ‘You’re definitely a tougher fighter than I’ve faced so far.’

‘You were a lot stronger that I expected’ Elaine told her in return ‘I’ve not fought anyone, well…..famous before, so I didn’t really know what to expect.’

‘Well I guess you know now; famous people like to fight too’ Betty laughed. ‘I guess if filming schedules allow, I’d like another crack at you sometime though. How about it Elaine, would you be up for that?’

Without hesitation Elaine had agreed ‘I’d love to, just let Steve know if there’s ever a chance for a rematch. If I can make it, I’d love to take you on again Betty.’

It had been a good win and learning experience for Elaine. She had handled an unusual opponent well, dominating good parts of the match. She had been forced to fight out of some tough situations too as Betty had surprised her at times. As we left the gym though, my thoughts turned to tomorrow’s match between Emma and the Texan tough girl Toni. Emma had been in imperious form of late and I felt sure that she could handle Toni, but it promised to be an interesting challenge.
