When I first heard that Tanya Kicks was going to put out a "competitive wrestling" video I wasn't too hot on the idea. But when it was announced that Nadege would be pitted against Kristie Etzold, then my curiosity got the better of me. As most of you would know, Tanya Kicks videos are excellent in the field of Catfighting, the REAL catfighting. I was never a great fan of that genre of femfighting until I got to see one of Tanya's Videos and now, I'm a believer! When someone mentions a femfight video, my first thoughts are a wrestling match with some T & A and a good show. Competitive wrestling on the other hand, I had always looked at for the sheer sport of it, real skills and ability decides the winner. A real match. No fluff and stuff. For some people this makes for a boring match as it lacks the sex appeal of T & A and some companies show it as rolling on the mat, face to face and struggling more than wrestling. But not in this case!
First you have Kristie Etzold who comes in at 5'4, 159 lbs and a fierce competitors with a killer scissors hold. Then you toss in the petite belgique Nadege at 5'2, 110 lbs. Though smaller than Kristie, Nadege has been wrestling since the age of 14. Both women are experienced, but only Nadege is formaly trained. I've never seen either of them in a real competitive match before so this is going to be interesting. And let me tell you, you'll have to rewinding the tape a couple of times to figure out exactly HOW some of these moves are slapped on and escaped. It's a amazing!
Both gals are dressed in bikinis, and have agreed to competitve rules where there is no hitting, biting, clawing or nasty grabs and the such as seen in Tankya Kicks catfighting action. Each round is won by making the other submit. Simple enough right?
For those who are familiar with competitive wrestling know that it's all about advantages. To get the advantage over your opponent and holding them down, bending a limb or stressing a joint until they submit. It's quite scientific and requires a lot of concentration and being aware where your limbs are at all times and especialy those of your opponent. Knowing what parts to squeeze and bend helps a lot too. Simple and straight forward, eh? You'd think so but it's more complicated than that.
Kristie outweighs Nadege by a solid 50 lbs and is 2 inches taller. You'd think she would simply pancake her smaller opponent and be done with it right? Wrong. You have to be able to hold her down, grab onto her and try not to get in trouble in the process. For all her strength and size, Kristie had a fight on her hands and she worked hard for the few submissions she managed to get. Kristie starts off trying to get on top of Nadege and tries to mount her (minds out of gutter now) which means taking a position of advanatge over Nadege. Unfortunately Nadege is quite slippery and rolls out of it, turns the tables on Kristie and applies a well executed head scissors arm pull. Kristie quickly submits to this one as the pressure mounts on her neck. Having lost the first round, Kristie is obliged to remove her top. Now topless, Kristie locks up with Nadege and finds herself once again caught in another one of Nadege's scissors, this time cross body but she's leaning over Nadege. Kristie has the right idea, using her size advantage over Nadege to tire her out, making her work harder by having to carry Kristie's weight. Kristie ends up picking Nadege off the mat while still in the scissors and tries to sneak in a slam to the mat to hopefully break the body scissors and ultimately ride on top of Nadege. But the smaller woman anticipates this moved and manages to fold enough to still hang onto the scissor hold and ward off Kristie's body press. Still in the standing position and in the scissors, Kristie tries to stand and quickly roll Nadege over for a boston crab type hold, but Nadege quickly snaps around and keeps Kristie in the scissors. Nadege puts Kristie on her back and straddles her. She avoids Kristies legs as they try to hook her arms to flip her back. Every time Kristie tries to buck her off, Nadege anticipates the move and rolls with it. Eventualy she forces Kristie to submit once again.
Facing off once again, this time Kristie get in first and takes down Nadege and slaps on a body scissors and face lock from behind. Not just content in crushing the girl's mid-section, she's also trying to cut off her air by smothering her with her chest or arm. If you rob your opponent of their air, they don't last very long. Nadege keeps probing and searching and waits for Kristie to make a wrong move. Kristie crunches down hard on the reverse head lock and Nadege has little choice but to tap out. This time, Kristie asks for Nadege's top to come off. Both topless now, they square off and Nadege skilfully takes down Kristie in a side headlock. And she takes her down with authority. With Nadege across her chest, Kristie is caught in a head lock with one arm trying to keep Nadege from locking arms to really crush down the pressure while her other free hand tries to cover Nadege's mouth, forcing her to suck air through her nose and not get full breaths of air. After a bit of struggling, Kristie somehow gets the advantage back and catches Nadege in a front face lock, and as they are rolling from one side to the other, Nadege is choked out when Kristie's arm levers up hard. You should hear the noise Nadege makes, it's quite sudden and the hold is broken.
The match progresses well from there, both women have great respect for each other, and their skills. But you get the impression that poor Kristie is very outmatched by the smaller wrestler as Nadege manages to pull off some impressive holds and counters. Nadege gets Kristie in a solid body scissors, and when she cranks on the power, you see Kristie's face turn red as she get the air crushed out of her. Every move Kristie tries to put on Nadege is countered with an ingenius counter and Kristie is forced to play the waiting game, looking for an advantage to turn over Nadege which doesn't happen. Nadege manages to get another submission when she side headlocks Kristie while one of Kristie's arms in pressed up against her own neck.
When they square off again, this time it's Kristie who gets the advantage and headlocks Nadege and bring her down to the mat. This next move caught me by surprise and is well executed. A thrill to see her methodicaly apply it. Kristie is face down on her knees with Nadege in a side headlock. Nadege is somewhat draped across Kristie's shoulders. Kristie wants to roll Nadege up and over onto her back but she's blocking it. I couldn't figure out what she was doing when she steps over Kristie's head, and plants her foot on the mat in front of Kristie's face. So now, when Kristie figures she's got Nadege just where she wants her, Kristie rolls her up and over only to be met with a leg across her neck in a scissors and she's no choice but to submit real fast! Even Kristie admited at the time it was an excellent move.
The rest of the match is more intense and a pleasure to watch. It's easy to tell that Nadege took Kristie for a ride to pain ville and back with a few detours of her own. They both fought hard and enjoyed themselves. A true competitive match. At the end of the match, where to women have their post match chat, Kristie fully acknowledges Nadege's excellent skills.Nadege, a true competitor admits it wasn't all easy as Kristie put up a great fight. You can tell they both had fun and learned a lot from each other. I would hazard to say that others watching this tape could learn a trick or two.
Putting out this video was a gamble for Tanya Kicks I think, but it's one that's paid off well. Fans of real competive female wrestling will fully appreciate the technical merits of the women's ability and skills. If you've always wanted to check out a real competive video then this could be the one you're looking for. This video earns itself an 8 star rating. Having Nadege wrestle for Tanya Kicks is always a welcomed sight.
